Customizing Your Phone63ToneIn the Sounds screen, two tabs are available: Volume andTone. Tap Tone. The following tone menus are displayed. Usethe " or ❷ key in the bottom right corner to see the tonemenus not displayed in this screen.• Ring Tone and Alarm Tone : You can change the ringtone and alarm tone to the desired type from the list thatappears when you tap the corresponding pick list markedwith ❿. Each time you select a tone, it sounds for a fewseconds.• Message Alert : This alert tone sounds Once or Every 2Minutes when a new message comes in. To disable thealert, select None from the pick list.• Tone Length : Some phones you call can recognize onlylonger tones. You may have to change the length to Longfor some calls. When calling a paging system, your phoneshould be in the Short mode.• Call Connected : If you put a check mark on this checkbox,an alert tone sounds when a call is connected.
