2.10 SETTING UP YOUR PRINTERConnecting a Printer CableFor Local PrintingTo print from your computer in a local environment, you need toconnect your printer to the computer with either a parallelinterface cable or a Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable.If you are a Macintosh user, you can use only the USB cable.Using a Parallel CableNOTE: To connect the printer to the parallel port of the computerrequires a certified parallel cable.
