26Health and safety warningsAdditional Notifications• The connected mobile device may become hotter than normalwhen used with the Gear VR, especially if you use the devicesto play games for an extended period. When the Gear VRdetects a high temperature, the quality of the application maybe degraded or VR applications may be terminated in orderto prevent overheating. This is normal and does not affect themobile device’s lifespan or performance.• When using apps that require a higher amount of power orusing these apps for an extended period, the mobile devicemay feel hot to the touch. When the Gear VR detects hightemperature, a message appears on the screen warning you tostop wearing the Gear VR and to wait until it cools down. Stopusing the Gear VR until the mobile device has cooled down,then resume use. This is normal and should not affect themobile device’s lifespan or performance.
