04 SettingsUpgrading SoftwareThe Software Update menu allows you toupgrade the player's software for performanceimprovements or additional services.• Never turn the player off or back on manually duringthe update process.1. In the Home screen, select the Settings, andthen press the v button.2. Select Support, and then press the vbutton.3. Select Software Update, and then press thev button.4. To download update software and updatenow, select Update Now, and then press thev button. See Update Now on this page fordetails.5. To let the product download update softwareautomatically when available, select AutoUpdate, and then press the v button. SeeAuto Update on page 32 for details.| NOTES |\ The upgrade is complete when the player turns off, andthen turns on again by itself.\ Samsung Electronics shall takes no legal responsibilityfor player malfunction caused by an unstable Internetconnection or consumer negligence during a softwareUpdate.\ If you want to cancel the upgrade while the upgradesoftware is downloading, press the v button.\ When a system upgrade is in progress, "UPDATE" isdisplayed on the front panel.Update NowYou can use Update Now to update the softwarethrough your network connection or by using aUSB flash drive. The product searches on line for the latestsoftware version.3. If it finds a new version, the Update Requestpop-up appears.4. Select OK. The product upgrades thesoftware, turns off, and then turns onautomatically.5. If you do not select OK or Cancel in oneminute, the product stores the new upgradesoftware. You can upgrade the software laterusing Auto Update.6.
