SpokeFlangeSpokeNipple123201941817HubFlangeSpokeFlangeRimNipple51 Adjust angle of the brake lever toa comfortable position for the riderby turning back and forth.2 Securely tighten the bolt using a5 mm Allen wrench.1 Remove the plastic packingmaterial from the front fork.2 Insert the wheel into the frontfork with the lock washers on theoutside of the fork.3 Insert the tab on the lockwasher into the hole on the frontfork and tighten the nuts using two15 mm wrenches.Checking Spoke Tension1 Verify spoke tension by grasping and shaking each spoke. Spokeshould not be loose from hub. Look for any play between spoke flangeswhere it mates with hub. Try to turn nipple using your fingers. Youshould not be able to spin any nipple by hand. If one or more spokesare loose, or if you can turn any nipple using your fingers, all spokesmust be checked and need to be tightened with a spoke tightener.2 Start with spoke closest to tirevalve and tighten each nipple. Insequence, exactly 1/4 to 1/2 turn.A single 1/4 to 1/2 turn may notbe enough to bring the spokes intoproper tension. Continue tighteningall spokes in sequence, no more than1/2 turn until all spokes are tight.WARNING: Regularly checkthe spoke tension and retightenthe spokes whenever loose. If youhave any doubt, ask an experiencedmotorcycle or bicycle mechanic toinspect your spokes to determineif the spokes need tightening oradjusting.Note: Tightening each nipple morethan a 1/2 turn each can cause thewheel to become distorted andwobbly, thus permanently damagingthe wheel.Positioning the Brake LeverTool Required: One (1) 5 mm Allen wrench.Attaching the Front WheelTools required: Two (2) 15 mm wrenches.ASSEMBLY AND SET-UPlockwashernut
