26EN TroubleshootingTroubleshootingMagnetSymptom Cause SolutionUser DealerI cannot install the magnet onthe chainstay.The installation of the magnetor the selected magnet type isincorrect.― There are two types of magnets, patchtype and arm type.You need to choose the appropriatetype depending on the distancebetween the magnet and the lefttransmitter or the junction box, and theshape of the frame.The left transmitter and chainring adapter are obstructingthe magnet.The installation of the magnetor the selected magnet type isincorrect.― Measure the distance from the sensorto the magnet, and install the magnetcorrectly.The arm type magnet rattles. The cable ties for fixing themagnet arm in place havebecome loose. Or, the screwsfor adjusting it have becomeloose. Or, the cushions forinstallation have deteriorated.Contact your dealer. Check if the magnet is installedcorrectly. The cable ties and cushionsare consumables. Replace them ifthey have stretched or become loosebecause of age or deterioration.If replacements are needed, pleasevisit our website.The magnet is rubbing. A stone or something is stuckin the gap between the magnet,transmitter, and junction box.Remove any stones or other things stuck in the gap and use a damp rag toclean the magnet and the sensor.Stones or other things stuck in the equipment may damage it.Magnet calibration fails. The magnet calibration was notfinished while in the magnetcalibration mode.― Check the magnet calibrationmode. The system exits this modeautomatically after 30 minutes. Also,pushing the push switch on theright transmitter during the magnetcalibration mode cancels this modeand the LEDs blink orange 5 times.The left and/or right LEDslight red when the magnetcalibration is finished.The magnet has been detectedcorrectly less than 6 times.― Confirm that the LEDs of the left andright transmitters light green more than7 times.During magnet calibration, thered LED lights when a magnetpasses a sensor.Crank rotation is too fast. ― The crank rotation speed should beless than one rotation per second.During magnet calibration, theLED does not light when amagnet passes a sensor.The installation of the magnethas been done incorrectly.― Check the magnet installation. TheLED will not light when the crank isrotated if magnets are not positionedcorrectly and/or if they are too far fromthe sensor.A magnet other than theprovided magnets is attachedto the frame.― Check if there is a magnet other thanthe provided magnets attached to theframe. This product will not operateproperly if there are magnets installedfor another brand of power meter, etc.
