1EnWHAT’S IN THE BOXBEFORE USEThank you for buying this Pioneer product.Please read through these operating instructions beforeusing your speaker system to optimize performance.• The nominal impedance of this speaker system is8 Ω. Connect the speaker system to an amplifier witha load impedance ranging from 6 Ω to 16 Ω (a modelwith “6 Ω to 16 Ω” displayed on the speaker outputterminals).• In order to prevent damage to the speaker systemresulting from input overload, please observe thefollowing precautions:-Be sure to turn the connected devices off andremove the power cord from the wall outletbeforehand when changing the connection orinstallation method.-Do not use excessive amplifier volume if using atone control to emphasize high or low frequencies.• Do not use the speaker to output distorted sound forlong periods of time. This can result in a fire hazard.INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS• Do not install these units near a stove or otherheating appliance, or put them in a place exposed tothe sun. Such locations may cause the cabinet tochange color and the speaker system to break down.FRONT / CENTER SPEAKERS• Do not attach the front and center speakers to thewall or ceiling. It may fall off and cause injury.• This speaker system is not magnetically shielded andso should not be placed near a TV or monitor, as theinteraction of magnetic materials can causedistortion of the colors on your TV screen. Magneticstorage media (such as floppy discs and tape or videocassettes) should also not be kept close to thesespeakers.• If this happens, turn off the television, then turn it onagain after 15 min to 30 min. If the problem persists,place the speaker system away from the televisionset.SURROUND SPEAKERS• The surround speakers are not magnetically shieldedand so should not be placed near a TV or monitor, asthe interaction of magnetic materials can causedistortion of the colors on your TV screen.
