Please write this serial number on the warranty pageand keep it in a secure area for future reference.BEFORE USE• Thank you for buying this Pioneer product.• Please read through this operating guide before using yourspeaker system to optimize performance.FRONT / CENTER / REAR SPEAKERSFRONT / CENTER / REAR SPEAKERS• The nominal impedance of this speaker system is 8 ohms.Connect the speaker system to a AV amplifier with a loadimpedance rating ranging from 4 to 16 ohms• In order to prevent damage to the speaker system resultingfrom input overload, please observe the following precau-tions:• Do not supply signal to the speaker system in excess of themaximum permissible input.• When connecting or disconnecting cables, be sure amplifierpower is OFF.• Do not use excessive amplifier volume if using a tone controlto emphasize high or low frequencies.INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS• Do not install these units near a stove or other heatingappliance, or put them in a place exposed to the sun. Suchlocations may cause the cabinet to change color and thespeaker system to break down.• If mounting to walls, examine them to confirm that theirstrength is sufficient to bear the weight of the speaker system.• This system is not provided with any hardware for installa-tion, so select suitable components corresponding to theconstruction of your walls.• If you are unsure of the quality and strength of the walls,consult a professional for advice.CAUTION:Pioneer will not be responsible for any accidents or damage thatmay result from improper installation.• The front and center speakers are magnetically shieldedfor use near your television. However, in some cases, ifthe speaker system is installed extremely close to thescreen of a television set, color distortion may occur. If thishappens, turn off the power switch of the television set,and turn it on after 15 to 30 minutes. If the problem persists,place the speaker system away from the television set.POWERED SUBWOOFER• Do not place a TV set on top of the cabinet.• Do not spill liquid on the cabinet.• Place the subwoofer at least 8 inches from any wall or curtainin order to avoid heat build-up.CAUTION:Do not remove the front plastic cover.
