Avoid leaving discs inexcessively cold, humid, or hot environ-ments (including under direct sunlight).Don't glue paper or put stickers on discs, orwrite on them using a pencil, ball-pointpen or other sharp-tipped writinginstrument.Discs to avoidDiscs spin at high speed inside the playerduring playback. If you can see that a discis cracked, chipped, warped, or otherwisedamaged, don't risk using it—you couldend up damaging the player.This player is designed for use withconventional, fully circular discs only. Useof shaped discs is not recommended.Pioneer disclaims all liability arising inconnection with the use of shaped discs.Taking care of yourdiscsWhen holding discs, take care not to leavefingerprints, dirt or scratches on the discsurface. Hold the disc by its edge or by thecenter hole and edge. Damaged or dirtydiscs can affect playback performance.Take care also not to scratch the label sideof the disc. Although not as fragile as therecorded side, scratches can still result in adisc becoming unusable.Should a disc become marked withfingerprints, dust, etc., clean using a soft,dry cloth, wiping the disc lightly from thecenter to the outside edge as shown on thenext page. If necessary, use a cloth soakedin alcohol, or a commercially availableCD/DVD cleaning kit to clean a disc morethoroughly.
