The pocket will lock in place when anaudible “click” is heard (Die index number andcolor appear to the left of correspondingpocket).CAUTION: Do not cycle tool unless the dierelease button has seated and the die haslocked in place.Refer to product packaging for selection of theproper crimp pocket. Place the desiredcompression connector in the crimp pocket(See Fig. 2).2. Close handles until the connector is heldsnugly in position—do not deform the barrel.3. Remove end plug(s) [for aluminumcompression connectors only]. Insert thestripped wire into the connector until the wirestops. Refer to product packaging for wire striplength.4. Crimp the connector by closing the handlesuntil the controlled cycle mechanism releases.Repeat this operation for the compressionconnectors that require more than onecompression.Upon release, the handles will openautomatically and the crimped connector canbe removed.After crimping, inspect that the crimp iscentered on the barrel in order to achieveoptimal pullout performance.
