Setting the SwitchesThe 8-bit DIP switch has two functions. It isused to restore the factory default settingsand to specify the unit number. Before set-ting, peel off the seal covering the switchholes. After setting the switch, replace theseal. The 4-bit DIP switch selects termina-tion ON/OFF and half/full duplex for RS485communication. The switch settings areread into the camera when the power isturned on. After changing the switch set-tings, be sure to turn the power off, then turnit back on again. Switch positions and func-tions are shown below.RS485 Parameter SetupThe selected protocol, communication para-meters, and set unit numbers are read intothe camera when the power is switched on.(1) Switch off the camera.(2) Set the switch as shown in the tablebelow.(3) Set the unit number with the DIP switch(see the next page).(4) Switch on the camera to read in thechanged switch settings.Note: The changed communicationparameters are displayed on theRS485 SETUP menu after the cam-era has been switched on.
