12Precautions for installationThis camera is designed to be usedindoors. This camera is not operable out-doors.Do not operate this product beyond thespecified temperature, humidity or powersource ratings.Use this product at temperatures within–10 °C to +50 °C {14 °F to 122 °F}, andhumidity below 90 %.The input power sourceis 12 V DC/24 V AC (WV-CP504) or 120 V AC(WV-CP500).Installing placeContact your dealer for assistance if you areunsure of an appropriate place in your partic-ular environment.• Make sure that the installation area isstrong enough to hold the camera, suchas a concrete ceiling.• If a ceiling board such as plaster boardis too weak to support the total weight,the area shall be sufficiently reinforced.• Do not install this product in a humid ordust-laden environment.Otherwise, lifetime of the internal partsmay be shortened.Avoid installing in the following locations.• Locations where it may get wet from rainor water splash• Locations where a chemical agent isused such as a swimming pool• Locations subject to steam and oil smokesuch as a kitchen, Locations near flam-mable gas or vapor• Locations where radiation or x-ray emis-sions are produced• Locations subject to strong magneticfield or radio waves• Locations where corrosive gas is pro-duced• Locations where it may be damaged bybriny air such as seashores• Locations where the temperature is notwithin –10 °C to +50 °C {14 °F - 122 °F}.• Locations subject to vibrations (Thisproduct is not designed for on-vehicleuse.)• Locations subject to condensation as theresult of severe changes in temperatureAvoid installing the camera in a place witha high level of noise.Installation near an air conditioner, an aircleaner, a vending machine, or the likecauses noise.Avoid connections during a lightningstorm.Otherwise, an electric shock may be caused.Be sure to remove this product if it is notin use.Keep the camera cable away from thelighting cable.Failure to observe this may cause noise.Radio interferenceWhen the camera is used near TV/radioantenna, strong electric field or magneticfield (near a motor or a transformer), imagesmay be distorted and noise sound may beproduced.Mounting screws• Screws are not supplied with this prod-uct.• Prepare them according to the materialand strength of the area where the prod-uct is to be installed.• Do not use an impact driver. Use of animpact driver may damage the screws.• The screws and bolts must be tightenedwith an appropriate tightening torqueaccording to the material and strength ofthe installation area.
