Notify dealer immediately if oven is damaged. DO NOTinstall if oven is damaged.Placement of Oven1. Oven must be placed on a flat, stable surface. For properoperation, the oven must have sufficient air flow. Allow 8 cm (3”)of space on both sides of the oven and 2.5 cm (1”) of space ontop of oven.a. DO NOT block air vents.If they are blocked during operation, the oven may beoverheated and damaged.When using any cloth over the oven, the air intake andexhaust should not be blocked.Allow proper space on back and both sides of oven.b. DO NOT place oven near a hot damp surface such as a gasor electric range, or dishwasher.c. DO NOT operate oven when room humidity is too high.2. This oven was manufactured for household use only.Installation for Trim Kit1. This oven is designed for installation into a wall cabinet byusing the proper trim kit (NN-TK529WAPH) available from alocal Panasonic dealer. Follow all installation instructionspacked with the kit.2. DO NOT block air vents. If they are blocked duringoperation, the oven may overheat. If the oven overheats, athermal safety device will turn the oven off. The oven willremain inoperable until it has cooled.3. This oven was manufactured for household use only.Grounding InstructionsThis appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electricalshort circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock byproviding an escape wire for the electric current. This appliance isequipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a groundingplug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properlyinstalled and grounded.WARNING—Improper use of the grounding plugcan result in a risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified electricianor service person if the grounding instructions are not completelyunderstood, or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance isproperly grounded. If it is necessary to use an extension cord, useonly a three wire extension cord that has a three blade groundingplug, and a three slot receptacle that will accept the plug on theappliance. The marked rating of the extension cord should beequal to, or greater than, the electrical rating of the appliance.Wiring Requirements1. The oven must be operated on a SEPARATE CIRCUIT. Noother appliance should share the circuit with the microwaveoven. If it does, the branch circuit fuse may blow or the circuitbreaker may trip, or the food may take longer to cook than thetimes recommended in this manual.2. The VOLTAGE used must be the same as specified on thismicrowave oven (120 V, 60 Hz). Using a higher voltage isdangerous and may result in a fire or another accident causingoven damage. Using a lower voltage will cause slow cooking.Panasonic is NOT responsible for any damages resulting fromthe use of the oven with any voltage other than specified.3. The oven must be plugged into at least a 15 AMP, 120 VOLT,60 Hz GROUNDED OUTLET. Where a standard two-prongoutlet is encountered, it is the personalresponsibility and obligation of theconsumer to have it replaced with aproperly grounded three-prongoutlet.Glass Tray1. DO NOT operate the oven without the Roller Ring and theGlass Tray in place.2. Only use the Glass Tray specifically designed for this oven. Donot substitute any other glass tray.3. If the Glass Tray is hot, allow to cool before cleaning or placingin water.4. DO NOT cook directly on the Glass Tray. Always place food ina microwave-safe dish, or on a rack set in a microwave-safedish.5. If the food or utensil on the Glass Tray touches oven walls,causing the tray to stop moving, the tray will automatically rotatein the opposite direction. This is normal.6. The Glass Tray can turn in either direction.Roller Ring1. The Roller Ring and oven floor should be cleaned frequently toprevent excessive noise.2. The Roller Ring must always be used for cooking along with theGlass Tray.3. Always replace the Roller Ring and the Glass Tray in theirproper positions.
