Surface mount1) For the counters of LC4H series, usethe pin type counter.INSTALLING DIN SIZE COUNTER5) Correctly connect the terminals whileseeing the terminal layout and wiringdiagram.6) If the pin type is used, the rear pin-bracket (AT8-RR) or the 8P cap (AD8-RC) is necessary to connect the pins. For the 11-pin type, use the 11P cap(AT8-DP11) and avoid directly solderingthe round pins on the counter.7) Panel cutout dimensionsThe standard panelcutout dimensions areshown in the left fig-ure. (Panel thickness:1 to 5 mm .039 to .197inch)8) Although thecounters can bemounted adja-cent to eachother in thiscase, it is rec-ommended toarrange themounting holesas shown in thefigure to facili-tate attachingand detachingthe mountingframe.9) Adjacent mountingAlthough the counters can be mountedadjacent to each other, remember thatthe panel surface of LC4H series counterwill lose its water-resistant effect. (Panelthickness: 1 to 5 mm .039 to .197 inch)A = (48 × n – 2.5)When lining up the counters horizontally, set the frames in such a position so theformed spring areas are at the top andbottom. When lining upthe countersvertically, setthe frames insuch a positionas the formedspring areasare at the rightand left.+0.6+0Pull the mountingframe backwardwhile spreading outits hooks with yourthumbs and indexfingers.3) Caution in mounting the counter• LC4H seriesa If the LC4H series are used as thewaterproof types (IEC IP66), tighten thereinforcing screws on the mountingframes so that the counters, the rubbergaskets, and the panel surfaces aretightly contacted with each other.(Tighten the two screws with uniformforce and make sure that there is no rat-tling. If the screws are tightened tooexcessively, the mounting frame maycome off.)b If the counter is installed with thepanel cover and the rubber gasketremoved, the waterproofing characteris-tic is lost.4) RemovalLoosen the screws on the mountingframe, spread the edge of frame andremove it.2) How to mount the counterFrom the panel front, pass the counterthrough the square hole. Fit the mount-ing frame from the rear, and then push itin so that the clearance between themounting frame and the panel surface isminimized. In addition, lock the mount-ing frame with a screw.• LC4H series5) 8-pin type should be connected withterminal socket AT8-DF8K. 11-pin typeshould be connected with terminal sock-et AT8-DF11K.6) DIN rail (AT8-DLA1) is also available(1 m).2. Flush mount1) For the counters of LC4H series, it isrecommended to use the built-in screwterminal type for flush mount. (Mountingframe and rubber gasket are providedwhen counter is shipped.)2) Put the terminal socket on the boarddirectly or put it on the DIN rail (Fig. 1).3) Insert the counter into the terminalsocket and fix it with clip (Fig. 2)4) On DIN rail mounting, mount thecounter on the DIN rail tightly to get theproper dimension (Fig. 3).451.772+0.60+.0240451.772+0.60+.0240451.772Min. 803.150Min. 803.150+0.60+.0240451.772+0.60+.0240451.772A+0.60+.0240Formed springFormed springTerminal socket(Fig. 1) (Fig. 2)DIN rail(Fig. 3)Mounting flameRubberPanel coverScrewPUSHgasket121CTi Automation - Phone: 800.894.0412 - Fax: 208.368.0415 - Web: www.ctiautomation.net - Email: info@ctiautomation.net
