12 ENGeneral ControlsOption key forPan Frying Mode maintains an optimumtemperature with five settings 140 °C / 160 °C/ 180 °C / 200 °C and 230 °C. (See page 24)Deep/Shallow Frying Mode controls thetemperature of the oil ranging from 140 °C -200 °C in 10 °C steps. (See pages 25 - 26)Pause key■ Touch and hold for 1 second to reduce all activecooking zones to level 1 for 30 minutes (after 30minutes the appliance will switch off). Timer ispaused.■ Touch and hold again to revert the cooking zonesto their original settings. Timer will continuecountdown.■ Pause function cannot be used if Genius Sensorcooking modes are being used on any of thecooking zones.Silent Mode■ Turn on the main power, touch and hold bothsimultaneously for 3 seconds to turn off the keysound.1 is displayed to show Silent Mode is ON.0 is displayed to show Silent Mode is OFF.■ The beep sound for the main power switch, ChildLock, timer and error notification remain ON.All other key touch sounds are eliminated.Hot Surface Warning (not available on KY-R615AB)■ Illuminates when any area of the top plate is hotalong with Residual Heat Indicator (see below)which will illuminate a specific area.Residual Heat Indicator■ When flashes on the display, thecorresponding cooking zones are hot.
