[Port Forwarding] settingsThese settings are only required if you need to configure your wireless router’s port forwarding feature inorder to connect to the camera while away from home.Important:R In order to use this feature, you must first configure the camera to use a static IP address ( “ChangingIP settings”, Page 130).1 View live images from the desired camera.2 Open the options menu (see “Displaying the options menu”, Page 111).3 Tap [Settings] ® [Wireless Settings].4 Tap [Port Forwarding].5 Turn on the [Enable] radio button.6 Tap field number 1 and enter the desired port number.R A value must be assigned to each port.R Only port numbers 62000–63000 can be assigned.R Configure your wireless router’s port forwarding feature to forward these ports to the static IPaddress that you have assigned to the camera.7 When finished, tap [OK].[MTU Settings] (maximum data size setting)This setting affects how data is sent over the network. Typically this setting does not need to be changed.1 View live images from the desired camera.2 Open the options menu (see “Displaying the options menu”, Page 111).3 Tap [Settings] ® [Wireless Settings].4 Tap [MTU Settings].5 Select the desired value and then tap [OK].Deleting wireless access pointsThe app remembers the SSIDs of wireless routers that you use at home to connect to the camera; it canremember 10 SSIDs, and saves them in the wireless access point list. If the list is full and you try toconnect to the camera using a new SSID while at home, the app may connect to the camera over theInternet even though you are at home.
