- 4 -3) Disconnect the plug from the powersource and/or the battery pack fromthe power tool before making anyadjustments, changing accessories,or storing power tools.Such preventive safety measuresreduce the risk of starting the power toolaccidentally.4) Store idle power tools out of the reachof children and do not allow personsunfamiliar with the power tool or theseinstructions to operate the power tool.Power tools are dangerous in the handsof untrained users.5) Maintain power tools. Check for mis-alignment or binding of moving parts,breakage of parts and any othercondition that may affect the powertools operation. If damaged, have thepower tool repaired before use.Many accidents are caused by poorlymaintained power tools.6) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.Properly maintained cutting tools withsharp cutting edges are less likely tobind and are easier to control.7) Use the power tool, accessories andtool bits etc. in accordance with theseinstructions and in the manner intend-ed for the particular type of powertool, taking into account the work-ing conditions and the work to be per-formed.Use of the power tool for operationsdifferent from those intended couldresult in a hazardous situation.Battery Tool Use and Care1) Ensure the switch is in the off posi-tion before inserting battery pack.Inserting battery pack into power toolsthat have the switch on invites accidents.2) Recharge only with the charger speci-fied by the manufacturer.A charger that is suitable for one typeof battery pack may create a risk of firewhen used with another battery pack.3) Use power tools only with specifi-cally designated battery packs.Use of any other battery packs maycreate a risk of injury and fire.4) When battery pack is not in use, keep itaway from other metal objects like paperclips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or othersmall metal objects that can make aconnection from one terminal to another.Shorting the battery terminals togethermay cause burns, or a fire.5) Under abusive conditions, liquid maybe ejected from battery; avoid con-tact. If contact accidentally occurs,flush with water. If liquid contactseyes, additionally seek medical help.Liquid ejected from the battery maycause irritation or burns.Service1) Have your power tool serviced by aqualified repair person using onlyidentical replacement parts.This will ensure that the safety of powertool is maintained.SPECIFIC SAFE-TY RULES1) Wear ear protectors when using thetool for extended periods.Prolonged exposure to high intensitynoise can cause hearing loss.2) Be aware that this tool is always in anoperating condition, since it does nothave to be plugged into an electricaloutlet.3) Hold power tools by insulated grip-ping sur faces when performing anoperation where the cutting tool maycontact hidden wiring.Contact with a “live” wire will make ex-posed metal parts of the tool “live” andshock the operator.4) If the bit becomes jammed, immediatelyturn the main switch off to prevent anoverload which can damage the batterypack or motor. Use reverse motion toloosen jammed bits.5) Do not touch the rotating parts to avoidinjury.6) Do not use the tool continuously for along period of time.
