- 15 -[Battery Pack]For Appropriate Use ofBattery packLi-ion Battery pack• For optimum battery life, store theLi-ion battery pack following usewithout charging it.• When charging the battery pack,confirm that the terminals on thebattery charger are free of foreignsubstances such as dust andwater etc. Clean the terminals beforecharging the battery pack if anyforeign substances are found on theterminals.The life of the battery pack terminalsmay be affected by foreign subs-tances such as dust and water etc.during operation.• When battery pack is not in use, keepit away from other metal objects like:paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws,or other small metal objects that canmake a connection from one terminalto another.Shorting the battery terminals togethermay cause sparks, burns or a fire.• When operating the battery pack,make sure the work place is wellventilated.• When the battery pack is removedfrom the main body of the tool, replacethe battery pack cover immediatelyin order to prevent dust or dirt fromcontaminating the battery terminalsand causing a short circuit.Battery Pack LifeThe rechargeable batteries havea limited life.
