Advanced Operations35[RAM]You can divide a selected title into two. You must make sure whendividing a title because it cannot be recovered after the procedure.[6] Press [ENTER]at the point youwant to dividethe title. (l below,“For quicker editing”)≥To change the pointto divide:- Select “Divide” with[3, 4] and press[1, PLAY], andthen repeat steps 6–8.[7] Select “Exit” with [3, 4] and press [ENTER].[8] Select “Divide”with [2] andpress [ENTER].≥The title is divided atthe point.∫To check thedivision pointBy selecting “Preview” in step 6 and pressing [ENTER], play willbegin from 10 seconds prior to the division point to 10 seconds afterthe division point. You can make sure that the division point isappropriate.For your reference≥The divided titles retain the name of the original title. They alsoretain the CPRM property (l 18) of the original.≥Use search and slow-motion to find the points.≥It is not possible to carry out “Divide” in the following cases:- When the resulting part(s) are extremely short.- When the total number of titles is more than 99.[5] Use [3, 4, 2, 1] to select the desired chapter.≥To start play l Press [ENTER].≥To edit l Follow the steps below.[6] Press [SUB MENU][7] Use [3, 4] to select a desired item and press [ENTER].[RAM] (Multiple editing is possible.)[8] Select “Erase” with [2] and press [ENTER].[RAM][8] Press [ENTER]at the point youwant to divide.(l below, “Forquicker editing”)≥Repeat this step todivide at otherpoints.[9] Select “Exit” with [4] and press [ENTER].Note≥A little portion of the recording directly preceding the division pointmay be lost.For your reference≥The divided titles retain the name of the original title.
