REMOTE CONTROL OPERATIONProgramming The RemoteThe Universal Remote Control can be programmed to operate many manufacturers' components, using the componentfunction buttons for VCR, DVD, CABLE or DBS. Follow the procedures for programming your Remote Control with orwithout a code for the component.Default Modes For Remote ControlTVVCRDBSCABLEDVD"IV (Panasonic Only)VCR (Preset)DBS (Preset)CABLE (Preset)DVD, CD (Preset)Panasonic TV CodesPanasonic VCR CodesPanasonic DBS CodesPanasonic DBS CodesPanasonic DVD CodesDetermine the manufacturer of the component and look in the table for the code.Programming With a CodeProcedureConfirm that the extemal component is plugged in and operating.Turn the component off.ACTION• Press O and _ together, for at least 5 seconds,Press appropriate component button on the Remote Control VCR, DVD, CABLE or DBS.Enter the 3-digit component code usingthe Remote Control numeric keypad (0 ~ 9 buttons).Press the Remote Control _ to test the component. If the procedure was successful, the component will turn on.Hints: Unsuccessful Code ]IIf the com__ith the Remote Control, repeat/Jthe procedure using another code.
