If you still cannot troubleshoot theproblem, contact your technical support office.(Enrollment and authentication is unavailable to an extremely minority of peopleincluding those whose fingerprints give little data for personal identification.)For DevicesThe sensor does notenroll or authenticatemy fingerprint.Slide your finger correctly. (For further informationabout enrollment and authentication, refer to “Howto Use the Fingerprint Reader” (Î page 3) and“Fingerprint Tutorial”.A Start “Control Center” (Î page 8)B Click [Help] - [Tutorial].The sensor enrolls or authenticates no fingerprint, orperforms authentication poorly, despite the correctway of finger sliding when your finger is in any of theconditions stated below:• Rough skin, or injured finger (with a cut or a skininflammation)• Extremely dry• Soiled with mud or oil• Fingerprint has been worn and has faded• Wet with water or sweatsensitivity by taking the following steps when any ofthe conditions described above exists>• Wash your hands or wipe them dry.• Use a different finger for registration orauthentication.• Treat your finger with a hand cream when it isrough skin or dry.Clean the fingerprint sensor. (For further information,refer to “Handling & Maintenance” (Î page 10))The fingerprint sensor may be malfunctioning when itcontinues to perform poorly after the steps describedabove have been performed. Contact your technicalsupport office.
