51 Turn off the computer.2  Inserting a SIM cardA Open the cover.B After opening the cover, remove the screw andthen remove the metallic cover. *1C Insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot withthe contact side facing downward and with thecut corner oriented as shown in the illustration.D After inserting the SIM card, secure the metallic cover with the screw re-moved in step B. *1E Close the cover.If the cover is not closed, the SIM card may come out when the computerfalls.Removing a SIM cardA Open the cover.B After opening the cover, remove the screwand then remove the metallic cover. *1C Push the card.It will come out of the slot a little bit.D Pull the card all the way out.E Secure the metallic cover. *1F Close the cover.*1 The metallic cover may not be attached to theSIM card slot. In this case, skip these steps.Inserting/Removing a SIM CardCAUTION Do not insert the SIM card upside down.Before using the HSDPA/UMTS modem, set a SIM card to the SIM card slot.CAUTION Do not insert or remove the SIM card while the HSDPA/UMTS modem’s power ison.Contact SIM Card
