8Parts and their FunctionsFront Panel(1)Power IndicatorThis indicator lights up in green when the P2drive is running.(2)Status IndicatorThis indicator lights up in green during accessto a P2 card.Do not remove the P2 card during access ofthe card, otherwise files may be corrupted, orthe P2 card may fail.(3)Card SlotsThe P2 drive’s card slots are designed for P2cards.The P2 drive does not operate with cardsother than P2 cards.(4)EJECT ButtonTo remove a P2 card, press this button so thatthe button pops out, then press it in again.For Macintosh only: To remove a P2 card,drag the icon of the P2 card to “Trash,” andthen press the EJECT button after confirmingthat the P2 card icon disappears.Rear PanelThe picture shows the rear panel with its coverremoved.(1)PCIe interface connectorThis connects a PCI EXPRESS cable.Ensure that both the P2 drive and thepersonal computer are switched off whenconnecting the cable.(2)DC IN 16V SocketFor external use of the P2 drive, connect anAC adapter to this socket.(3)DC IN 12V SocketTo use the P2 drive mounted in a personalcomputer, connect one of the power supplyconnectors inside the personal computer tothis socket.
