The unit can be used to operate the VTR sections of DVCPRO, DVCPRO50 andDVCPRO HD camera recorders.≥ An ENABLE switch is provided to safeguard against operating errors.≥ VTR warnings are indicated by an LED.2. Video signals with characters added (SETUP menus, etc.) can be output from the unit’sVIDEO OUT connector.≥ Since the SETUP menus are not displayed on the viewfinder of the camera recorder,the camera can be controlled using the AJ-EC3P’s SETUP menus even duringshooting.≥ The SETUP menu screens can be output even when no video signals are supplied.3. The unit features the following functions and displays which have been added to theexisting models AQ-EC1 and AJ-EC2.≥ DETAIL, GAMMA, KNEE SLOPE and KNEE POINT picture quality adjustmentfunctions incorporated≥ GAIN, IRIS and FILTER position settings now displayed on a 7-segment LED≥ S.S and S.V positions added to SHUTTER switch areaSynchro-scan settings performed using SETUP dial≥ PAINTING (R/B GAIN, R/B BLACK) ENABLE function added≥ LEDs for ABB/AWB OK/NG displays featured≥ Rotary encoder to select the SETUP menus used4. By organizing the SETUP menus hierarchically, menu selection is facilitated andoperating ease has been improved.5. The unit automatically identifies any camera recorder which does not incorporate the AJ-EC3P protocol, and it switches to a mode in which the same functions as the existingmodel AQ-EC1 and AJ-EC2 are operated.FeaturesIt may not be possible to use some of the above functions with some types of camera recorders.For further details, refer to “Before use” (page E-3).
