5Routine & Regular Inspection RequestThis unit is designed to withstand many hours of operation. Nevertheless, it is recommended that routine inspectionsbe conducted to help ensure trouble-free operation.CAUTIONDo not forget to conduct the routine inspection with auto repeat recording.Routine inspection procedureq Set the power switches on the unit, video cameras,TV monitor and other equipment connected in themonitoring system to the ON position.w Is the picture on the TV monitor OK?e Are the date and time displayed on the TV monitorcorrect?11-15-01 6H10:10:55r Rewind the cassette tape, which was recorded onthe previous day, by an amount equivalent to acount on the counter of several figures.REWt Press the TIME MODE button to set to the mode to6H (6 hours).DisplayTIME MODEy Press the PLAY button. The tape is played back byan amount equivalent to a count on the counter ofseveral figures.PLAYu Is the playback image OK?i Is there any problem with the recorded date andtime?o Press the REC button.REC!0 Check the playback images which were recorded inthe 6-hour time mode.!1 Upon completion of all the checks, set the unit tothe desired mode.Action taken after routine inspectionsIn the unlikely event of a problem with the unit, turn off the power, take hold of the power plug and disconnect it fromthe power outlet, and consult with the dealer from whom the unit was purchased.Regular inspections recommendedThis unit has an hour meter which shows for how many hours the VTR has been used. When the MENU/REC LOCKswitch is set to MENU, Menu Screen 1 appears on the TV monitor, and the hour meter can be checked.
