Thelatest IC technology is used to secure thehighest reliability possible.In the smoke detection chamber is a high-efficient optical system consisting of anLED and a photodiode with two lenses.Scattered light (i.e. reflection of infraredlight) is used to detect smoke.The heat sensing element is a thermistor.Reduces false fire alarmsThe smoke enters the detection chamberthrough an insect filter and an opticallabyrinth. This construction not onlyimproves the smoke inflow but it also causessteam, fog, etc. to condense into moisture onits surfaces, to prevent false (nuisance)alarms.The detector maintains a constant sensitivityregardless of the contamination. It has alsoa self diagnosis of the internal devices.AI function• Combined heat and smoke sensing willguarantee reliable and accurate fire alarmdetection.• Variable delay function, i.e. the delaytime before fire alarm is activated, isinfluenced by temporary changes of thetemperature and the smoke obscuration.• Learning function / condition meansthat the detector will adapt an alarmalgorithm according to the smoke and/ortemperature conditions where thedetector is located, i.e. temperaturechanges and occurrence of smoke. Thereis a normal algorithm (default) and thereare less and more sensitive learningconditions (algorithms) that will beadapted after a learning period. If theconditions changes, the normal will beadapted again.Environment friendlyThe detector has unleaded soldering. Thelatest IC technology reduces the number ofsemiconductors and other electroniccomponents to a minimum.CompatibilityThe conventional multi detector 4350 is thebest substitute for the ionization smokedetectors 2316 and 2317.MiscellaneousThe detector is plugged in a conventionalbase (2324), connected to a conventionalzone line input. The base has an LED thatwill light when the detector goes into alarm.In the base there are terminals to connect anexternal LED 2216 / 2217.Product applicationsThe detector is intended for indoor use andin dry premises. It is excellent to detect alltypes of fires, also a methylated spirits fire.Used in the systems EBL500 / 512 / 128 /1000 / 2000.
