Under average conditions the battery should last 100 hours (LCD)or 22 hours (LED Display) before needing a charge.REMOVING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY OPTIONTo convert the balance to operate on dry cell batteries follow these steps.1. Disconnect the Power Adapter.2. Disconnect and remove the battery.3. Remove the Recharge Circuit board.4. Install the Battery Connector. Refer to step 3 above where it was removed.5.
