General NotesIf the fan is installed in a room con-taining a fuel burning appliance of anon-balanced flue design, it is theresponsibility of the installer toensure that sufficient replacementair is provided to prevent productsof combustion from being drawndown the flue when the fan/ lightunit is operating.The unit should not be sited whereit would be subject to a directsource of heat in excess of 40oC.Once fitted into ceiling void or loftspace, do not cover light body, fanor 12V power supply unit with anyinsulating materials.Minimum void height when fittinginto ceiling space and minimumdistance for light is 200mm.ISOLATIONNote that the unit must beprovided with a means of iso-lation (by others) for mainte-nance purposes etc. An RCDtrip device must be includedbetween the power supplyunit and the mains if the unitis fitted in zone 1 as definedin IEE regulations.Refer to Wiring Instructionsoverleaf.InstallationIMPORTANTThe installation must be carriedout by qualified personnel inaccordance with the appropriateauthority and conforming to allstatutory and governing regula-tions eg. IEE, CIBSE, COHSE etc.Secure the fan holder to a joist using twoNo. 6 screws.To wire the induct fan, first remove thewiring cover.Bring the mains supply cable through thefan case and internal grommet. Wire up thefan as shown in the wiring diagram.The run-on-timer is adjustable from 1 - 25minutes. Factory set at midway point.Replace the wiring cover.Clip the fan into the fan holder, making sureit is secure. Push the cable into the gripprovided in the base.Cut the flexible ducting into the lengthsrequired.Secure the ducting to the fan using the tiesprovided.Cut a hole in the ceiling to the sizeindicated and thread through the two red12V Power Supply unit cables.To wire in the light, lift off the cover.Loosen the clamp on the case side. Bring inthe two red 12V cables and wire as shownBring ducting down through ceiling andattach it to the Light unit with one of theties provided.Remove the finisher. Mark and plug threeceiling holes using the holes on the lightunit. Secure using three No. 6 c/s screwsAlternatively, attach the fixing fingers withlong screws provided to the light unit asshownPush the light unit through the ceiling andtwist the fingers outwardsThen tighten the fixing fingers against theceiling (do not overtighten).To fit the lampsee overleaf. Clip on the internal finisher.Prepare hole through wall or soffit. Pushthrough unattached end of the flexductattach it to the grille spigot using the tie.Fix back plate using plugs and screws Snapon external grille.
