The EMC Directive2014/30/EUThe Low VoltageDirective2014/35/EU1NOTE: The Ecosmart Control Box is a seperate item, packed individually.Warning - Inverter Speed ControlAn Inverter is used to provide speed control. When the fan isisolated, allow 5 minutes for the capacitors in the inverterto discharge before commencing any work on the unit.IntroductionThe units shall be manufactured from a highly rigidpentapost framework with 25mm double skinned infillpanels. The panels shall contain inert high density infill. Panelmaterials are heavy gauge Aluzinc corrosion resistant steel. The units shall provide exceptional thermal and acousticinsertion. The very low breakout noise level through the unitcasing must not be exceeded. The general construction is to class A leakage. The fan impeller and motor shall be selected to provide themost energy efficient solution conforming to part Lregulations and shall be direct drive with EFF2 highefficiency motors to BS5000 as standard. The fan impeller shall be a high efficiency backward curvedcentrifugal design, manufactured in galvanised steel.Galvanised steel. NOTE: Maximum ambient operatingtemperature 50 Degree C.1.0 HandlingBefore commencement of lifting ensure that normalequipment safety checks have been carried out and thelift/deposit areas are clear of site personnel and traffic.Note: the weight of the unit from the rating plate and liftusing “spreaders” as shown in (figure 1.)2.0 Fan InstallationInstallation must be carried out by competent personnelin accordance with the appropriate authority andconforming to all statutory and governing regulations e.g.I.E.E., CIBSE, COHSE etc.Units are suitable for internal use unless it has a optionaloutdoor cover. (Please refer to section 3.0 for outdoorweather cover details).Prior to installation the impeller should be rotated by handto check for smooth rotation and that no transit damagehas occurred. It is advisable to fit flexible connectors oneither side of the fan unless there is an open ended inlet ordischarge and the fans should be supported on A/V mounts(figures 2 and 3).The A/V mounts should be “levelled off” for satisfactoryrunning and the flexible connectors installed maintainingthe line of the ductwork with minimal crimping.A range of ancillaries including guards and silencers areavailable from Nuaire.2.1 Ecosmart Control InstallationThe controller must be fitted indoors (an optional outdoorcover can be purchased) and away from moisture ingress. The operating range is - 10 o to 35oC up to 85% relativehumidity. The controller must be fitted to a vertical vibration free wallwith appropriate fastners and for ease of installation thecover should be removed and the casing separated from thebase. If cooling fans are fitted they should be disconnectedwhile installation takes place. The cable connecting the Ecosmart control and the fan mustbe a screened power cable, max length 30m. It should beearthed at both ends using the special cable glands supplied.(Details of wiring connections are shown on pages 2 & 4).Figure 1.Figure 2.Figure 3.Underframe suppliedby others.10. 05. 17.
