Set the switch on the back of the solar cell to ON.2. Attach the ground spike to the solar cell and then push the spikeinto the ground.3. Adjust the solar cell in such a way that it can receive as muchsunlight as possible.4. Place the string light in a suitable outdoor location.5. The light comes on automatically at dusk (as long as the batteryhas been charged).On a structure, such as a wall1. Detach the bracket fromthe solar cell.2. Using the bracket as a guide, markout the position of the mountingholes on the wall or structureonto which the solar cell is to befastened.3. Use an appropriate type of screwor fastener for the material ofthe structure.Ensure that there are no electrical wires or water pipesconcealed below the surface into which you intend to drill/screw.4. Set the switch on the back of the solar cell to ON.5. Fasten the solar cell back onto the bracket and adjust the angle ofthe solar cell so it can receive as much sunlight as possible.6. Place the string light in the desired outdoor location.7. The light comes on automatically at dusk (as long as the batteryhas been charged).The string light can also bepowered by a battery pack (soldseparately) to enable it to be usedall year round. For battery packoperation, unscrew the connectoron the cable joining the solar cell tothe string light and replace the solarcell with a battery pack.Care and maintenanceThe string light and the solar cell can be cleaned by wiping themcarefully with a damp cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents, neversolvents or corrosive chemicals.Replacing the battery in the solar cell:1. Remove the 4 screws on the back of the solar cell.Detach the back cover.2. Replace the battery (1 × 14500 3.7 V 850 mAh Li-ion) making surethat it is fitted with the correct polarity.3. Refit the battery cover.The battery must only be replaced with an equivalent rechargeablebattery.Responsible disposalThis symbol indicates that this product should not bedisposed of with general household waste. This appliesthroughout the entire EU. In order to prevent anyharm to the environment or health hazards causedby incorrect waste disposal, the product must behanded in for recycling so that the material can bedisposed of in a responsible manner. When recyclingyour product, take it to your local collection facility orcontact the place of purchase.
