3. Installation of external drivesYou can install up to four external drives in the Deep Silence 6. Two adapter frames formounti ng 3.5 inch drives are included.3.1 Optical drivesTo install the opti cal drives, please remove both side panels. The installati on of opti cal drives istool-free.Remove the 5.25 inch cover by pulling thelateral ti lti ng lever cautiously towards youand take out the cover.Then loosen the lock on both sides bydragging the black slider backwards (1).Then slide the drive into the desiredposition.Lock the holder by pushing the slider backto its original position (2).3.2 Uti lizing the external 3.5 inch bayIf you for example desire to place a 3.5 inch card reader, you can use one of the two internaladaptors for this purpose. Please remove the 5.25 inch cover fi rst. Open the two quick releaseof the 5.25 inch bay and remove the mounti ng frame. Then attach the card reader in theframe, as shown below.Then place the frame with the card readerback into the slot and lock the quick release.Finally, attach the included 3.5 inch frontpanel carefully on top of the card reader.Alternati vely, the adaptors can be used forthe installation of additional 3.5 inch harddrives.12EN09 |
