Getting to know your appliance en5■ Operating a burner with the power set toohigh will result in very high temperaturesbeing generated. This may causeflammable materials to ignite. The powersetting shown in the display may differ fromthe power setting that has been set usingthe knob. The power setting is shown in thedisplay purely for additional information.Always set the power setting according tothe printing on the knob.:Warning – Risk of injury!■ Cracks or fractures in the glass plate aredangerous. Shut immediately off all burnersand any electrical heating element. Unplugthe appliance from the mains or switch offthe circuit breaker in the fuse box. Shut offthe gas supply. Do not touch the appliancesurface. Never switch on a faulty appliance.Contact the after-sales service.Risk of injuries!■ Sudden changes in temperature may causebreakage of the glass. While using yourhob, prevent any draughts and do not spillany cold liquids on it.Risk of injuries!■ Pans which are damaged, are not the rightsize, hang over the edge of the hob or arenot positioned correctly can cause seriousinjuries. Follow the advice and warningsprovided relating to the cooking pans.Risk of injuries!■ In the event of a malfunction, turn off theappliance’s gas and electricity supply. Never try to switch directly fromposition 0 to position 1 or from position 1 to position 0.It is essential to ensure that all the burner parts and pansupports are correctly installed for the appliance towork correctly.
