Youcan install a CD-ROM/ DVD-ROM/ COMBO DVD-ROM CD-RW Drive, tape backupunit, or other 5-25 inch devices in the additional 5.25-inch bay. See the installationinstructions included with those items for specific installation information. Beforeinstalling a 5.25-inch device, read section “Preparing the Device” on page 37.Adding a 5.25-inch Device1. Remove the right side door. See “Removing the Right Side Door:” on page 6.2. Remove the front panel. See “Removing the Front Panel:” on page 8.3. Remove the 3.5/5.25-inch bracket. See “Removing the 3.5/5.25-inch Bracket:”on page 9.4. Gently pull on the desired slot cache to remove it, then pull on the metallic shieldto remove it.5. Slide the 5.25-inch device through the front of the 3.5/5.25-inch bracket, connec-tors first. Please check that the front of the device is perfectly aligned with theother installed devices.Figure 4 - 10 : Adding a 5.25-inch Device6. Secure the four screws (two on each side).7. Replace the 3.5/5.25-inch bracket. See “Replacing the 3.5/5.25-inch Bracket:” onpage 11.8. Connect the data cable to the device with the marked edge toward pin 1 of thedrive.
