308785 86STARTER MOTOR- In the event that the starter motordoes not turn, the following causesare possible:- Main fuse, disconnected orblown.- Battery discharged.- Faulty starter relay.- Replace the fuse and / or chargethe battery as necessary.- If the starter motor still will not turn,proceed to check the electricalwiring and the starter push buttonon the handlebars, and the starterrelay in the following manner:- Connect terminals 85 and 86 of therelay to the battery terminals(regardless of polarity).- Connect terminals 30 and 87 of therelay to the ends of the tester pro-bes, having selected “continuity /ohms Ω“ (resistance measurement):* Without disconnecting the tester pro-bes from the terminals 30 and 87 ofthe relay, disconnect one of the ter-minals 85 or 86 from the battery ter-minals:- In the event that the sequenceshown in the above tables is notobserved, replace the relay.14-1READING OHMS RELAY(Ω) CONDITION0 (closed cirduit) CORRECT∞ (open circuit) FAULTYREADING OHMS RELAY(Ω) CONDITIONS0 (closed circuit) FAULTY∞ (open circuit) CORRECT |
