8005095Templet guide (Accessory)005096The templet guide provides a sleeve through which thebit passes, allowing use of the tool with templet patterns.To install the templet guide, loosen the screws on thetool base, insert the templet guide and then tighten thescrews.12005097Secure the templet to the workpiece. Place the tool onthe templet and move the tool with the templet guidesliding along the side of the templet.1234 567003695NOTE:• The workpiece will be cut a slightly different sizefrom the templet. Allow for the distance (X)between the bit and the outside of the templetguide. The distance (X) can be calculated by usingthe following equation:Distance (X) = (outside diameter of the templetguide - bit diameter) / 2Connecting to Makita vacuum cleaner112005098Cleaner operations can be performed by connecting thetool to Makita vacuum cleaner.Insert the nozzle assembly and the dust nozzleassembly into the tool. Also, the dust nozzle assemblycan be inserted into the tool base directly in accordancewith the operation.When connecting to Makita vacuum cleaner (Model 407),an optional hose 28 mm in inner diameter is necessary.MAINTENANCECAUTION:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off andunplugged before attempting to perform inspectionor maintenance.• Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner, alcohol orthe like. Discoloration, deformation or cracks mayresult.Replacing carbon brushes1001145Remove and check the carbon brushes regularly.Replace when they wear down to the limit mark. Keepthe carbon brushes clean and free to slip in the holders.Both carbon brushes should be replaced at the sametime.
