10 ENGLISH7. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bitsetc. in accordance with these instructions, tak-ing into account the working conditions andthe work to be performed. Use of the power toolfor operations different from those intended couldresult in a hazardous situation.8. Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry,clean and free from oil and grease. Slipperyhandles and grasping surfaces do not allow forsafe handling and control of the tool in unexpectedsituations.9. When using the tool, do not wear cloth workgloves which may be entangled. The entangle-ment of cloth work gloves in the moving parts mayresult in personal injury.Service1. Have your power tool serviced by a qualifiedrepair person using only identical replacementparts. This will ensure that the safety of the powertool is maintained.2. Follow instruction for lubricating and chang-ing accessories.Router safety warnings1. Hold the power tool by insulated grippingsurfaces only, because the cutter may contactits own cord. Cutting a “live” wire may makeexposed metal parts of the power tool “live” andcould give the operator an electric shock.2. Use clamps or another practical way to secureand support the workpiece to a stable plat-form. Holding the work by your hand or againstthe body leaves it unstable and may lead to loss ofcontrol.3. The cutter bit shank must match the designedcollet chuck.4. Only use a bit that is rated at least equal to themaximum speed marked on the tool.5. Wear hearing protection during extendedperiod of operation.6. Handle the router bits very carefully.7. Check the router bit carefully for cracks ordamage before operation. Replace cracked ordamaged bit immediately.8. Avoid cutting nails. Inspect for and remove allnails from the workpiece before operation.9. Hold the tool firmly with both hands.10. Keep hands away from rotating parts.11. Make sure the router bit is not contacting theworkpiece before the switch is turned on.12. Before using the tool on an actual workpiece,let it run for a while. Watch for vibration orwobbling that could indicate improperlyinstalled bit.13. Be careful of the router bit rotating directionand the feed direction.14. Do not leave the tool running. Operate the toolonly when hand-held.15. Always switch off and wait for the router bit tocome to a complete stop before removing thetool from workpiece.16. Do not touch the router bit immediately afteroperation; it may be extremely hot and couldburn your skin.17. Do not smear the tool base carelessly withthinner, gasoline, oil or the like. They maycause cracks in the tool base.18. Some material contains chemicals which maybe toxic. Take caution to prevent dust inhala-tion and skin contact. Follow material suppliersafety data.19. Always use the correct dust mask/respiratorfor the material and application you are work-ing with.20. Place the tool on stable area. Otherwise fallingaccident may occur and cause an injury.21. MISUSE or failure to follow the safetyrules stated in this instruction manual may causeserious personal injury.FUNCTIONALDESCRIPTIONCAUTION: Always be sure that the tool isswitched off and unplugged before adjusting orchecking function on the tool.Adjusting the depth of cutPlace the tool on a flat surface. Loosen the lock leverand lower the tool body until the router bit just touchesthe flat surface. Tighten the lock lever to lock the toolbody. While pressing the fast-feed button, move thestopper pole up or down until the desired depth of cut isobtained. Lock leverCAUTION: The depth of cut should not bemore than 20 mm (13/16") at a pass when cuttinggrooves. For extra-deep grooving operations,make two or three passes with progressivelydeeper router bit settings. |
