10SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSWarning! When using electric tools, basic safety pre-cautions should always be followed to reduce therisk of fire, electric shock and personal injury, includ-ing the following. Read all these instructions beforeattempting to operate this product and save theseinstructions.For safe operation:1. Keep work area cleanCluttered areas and benches invite injuries.2. Consider work area environmentDon’t expose power tools to rain. Don’t use powertools in damp or wet locations. Keep work area welllit. Don’t use power tools in presence of flammableliquids or gases.3. Guard against electric shockPrevent body contact with grounded surfaces (e.g.pipes, radiators, ranges, refrigerators).4. Keep children awayDo not let visitors contact tool or extension cord. Allvisitors should be kept away from work area.5. Store idle toolsWhen not in use, tools should be stored in dry, high,or locked-up place, out of the reach of children.6. Don’t force toolIt will do the job better and safer at the rate for whichit was intended.7. Use right toolDon’t force small tools or attachments to do the jobof a heavy duty tool. Don’t use tools for purposes notintended; for example, don’t use circular saw for cut-ting tree limbs or logs.8. Dress properlyDo not wear loose clothing or jewelry. They can becaught in moving parts. Rubber gloves and non-skidfootwear are recommended when working outdoors.Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.9. Use safety glasses and hearing protectionAlso use face or dust mask if cutting operation isdusty.10. Connect dust extraction equipmentIf devices are provided for the connection of dustextraction and collection facilities, ensure these areconnected and properly used.11. Don’t abuse cordNever carry tool by cord or yank it to disconnect itfrom receptacle. Keep cord from heat, oil and sharpedges.12. Secure workUse clamps or a vise to hold work. It’s safer thanusing your hand and it frees both hands to ope-ratetool.13. Don’t overreachKeep proper footing and balance at all times.14. Maintain tools with careKeep tools sharp and clean for better and safer per-formance. Follow instructions for lubricating andchanging accessories. Inspect tool cords periodi-cally and, if damaged, have repaired by authorizedservice facility. Inspect extension cords periodicallyand replace if damaged. Keep handles dry, cleanand free from oil and grease.15. Disconnect toolsWhen not in use, before servicing, and when chang-ing accessories such as blades, bits and cutters.16. Remove adjusting keys and wrenchesForm the habit of checking to see that keys andadjusting wrenches are removed from tool beforeturning it on.17. Avoid unintentional startingDon’t carry plugged-in tool with finger on switch. Besure switch is off when plugging in.18. Outdoor use extension cordsWhen tool is used outdoors, use only extensioncords intended for use outdoors and so marked.19. Stay alertWatch what you are doing. Use common sense. Donot operate tool when you are tired.20. Check damaged partsBefore further use of the tool, a guard or other partthat is damaged should be carefully checked todetermine that it will operate properly and performits intended function. Check for alignment of movingparts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts,mounting, and any other conditions that may affectits operation. A guard or other part that is damagedshould be properly repaired or replaced by an autho-rized service center unless otherwise indicated else-where in this instruction manual. Have defectiveswitches replaced by and authorized service center.Do not use tool if switch does not turn it on and off.21. WarningThe use of any other accessory or attachment otherthan recommended in this operating instruction orthe catalog may present a risk of personal injury.22. Have your tool repaired by an expertThis electric appliance is in accordance with the rel-evant safety rules. Repairing of electric appliancesmay be carried out only by experts otherwise it maycause considerable danger for the user.ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES1. Wear eye protection.2. Do not operate saw without guards in place.3. Don’t use the tool in the presence of flammableliquids or gases.4. Check the blade carefully for cracks or damagebefore operation.
