9 ENGLISHFor public low-voltage distributionsystems of between 220 V and 250 VFor Model LS1040Switching operations of electric apparatus cause voltagefluctuations. The operation of this device under unfavor-able mains conditions can have adverse effects to theoperation of other equipment. With a mains impedanceequal or less than 0.29 Ohms it can be presumed thatthere will be no negative effects. The mains socket usedfor this device must be protected with a fuse or protectivecircuit breaker having slow tripping characteristics. For Model LS1040FSwitching operations of electric apparatus cause voltagefluctuations. The operation of this device under unfavor-able mains conditions can have adverse effects to theoperation of other equipment. With a mains impedanceequal or less than 0.34 Ohms it can be presumed thatthere will be no negative effects. The mains socket usedfor this device must be protected with a fuse or protec-tive circuit breaker having slow tripping characteristics.NoiseThe typical A-weighted noise level determined accord-ing to EN62841-3-9:Sound pressure level (LpA) : 91 dB(A)Sound power level (LWA) : 101 dB (A)Uncertainty (K) : 3 dB(A)NOTE: The declared noise emission value(s) has beenmeasured in accordance with a standard test methodand may be used for comparing one tool with another.NOTE: The declared noise emission value(s) mayalso be used in a preliminary assessment of exposure.WARNING: Wear ear protection.WARNING: The noise emission during actualuse of the power tool can differ from the declaredvalue(s) depending on the ways in which thetool is used especially what kind of workpiece isprocessed.WARNING: Be sure to identify safety mea-sures to protect the operator that are based on anestimation of exposure in the actual conditions ofuse (taking account of all parts of the operatingcycle such as the times when the tool is switchedoff and when it is running idle in addition to thetrigger time).VibrationThe vibration total value (tri-axial vector sum) deter-mined according to EN62841-3-9:Vibration emission (a h) : 2.5 m/s2 or lessUncertainty (K) : 1.5 m/s2NOTE: The declared vibration total value(s) has beenmeasured in accordance with a standard test methodand may be used for comparing one tool with another.NOTE: The declared vibration total value(s) may alsobe used in a preliminary assessment of exposure.WARNING: The vibration emission duringactual use of the power tool can differ from thedeclared value(s) depending on the ways in whichthe tool is used especially what kind of workpieceis processed.WARNING: Be sure to identify safety mea-sures to protect the operator that are based on anestimation of exposure in the actual conditions ofuse (taking account of all parts of the operatingcycle such as the times when the tool is switchedoff and when it is running idle in addition to thetrigger time).EC Declaration of ConformityFor European countries onlyThe EC declaration of conformity is included as Annex Ato this instruction manual.General power tool safety warningsWARNING: Read all safety warnings, instruc-tions, illustrations and specifications providedwith this power tool. Failure to follow all instructionslisted below may result in electric shock, fire and/orserious injury.Save all warnings and instruc-tions for future reference. The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to yourmains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated(cordless) power tool.Safety instructions for mitre saws1. Mitre saws are intended to cut wood or wood-like products, they cannot be used with abra-sive cut-off wheels for cutting ferrous materialsuch as bars, rods, studs, etc. Abrasive dustcauses moving parts such as the lower guard tojam. Sparks from abrasive cutting will burn thelower guard, the kerf insert and other plastic parts.2. Use clamps to support the workpiece when-ever possible. If supporting the workpieceby hand, you must always keep your hand atleast 100 mm from either side of the saw blade.Do not use this saw to cut pieces that are toosmall to be securely clamped or held by hand.If your hand is placed too close to the saw blade, there is an increased risk of injury from bladecontact.3. The workpiece must be stationary andclamped or held against both the fence and thetable. Do not feed the workpiece into the bladeor cut "freehand" in any way. Unrestrainedor moving workpieces could be thrown at highspeeds, causing injury.4. Never cross your hand over the intended lineof cutting either in front or behind the sawblade. Supporting the workpiece "cross handed"i.e. holding the workpiece to the right of the sawblade with your left hand or vice versa is verydangerous. |
