Always stop tool operation and charge thebattery cartridge when you notice less tool power.2. Never recharge a fully charged battery car-tridge. Overcharging shortens the batteryservice life.3. Charge the battery cartridge with room tempera-ture at 10 °C - 40 °C (50 °F - 104 °F). Let a hotbattery cartridge cool down before charging it.4. Battery cartridgeTo remove the battery cartridge, slide it from the toolwhile sliding the button on the front of the cartridge.To install the battery cartridge, align the tongue on thebattery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slipit into place. Insert it all the way until it locks in placewith a little click. If you can see the red indicator on theupper side of the button, it is not locked completely.CAUTION: Always install the battery cartridgefully until the red indicator cannot be seen. If not,it may accidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury toyou or someone around you.CAUTION: Do not install the battery cartridgeforcibly. If the cartridge does not slide in easily, it isnot being inserted correctly.NOTE: The tool does not work with only one batterycartridge.NOTE: Pay attention to the position of your fin-gers when installing the battery. The button will bedepressed unintentionally.Tool / battery protection systemThe tool is equipped with a tool/battery protection sys-tem. This system automatically cuts off power to themotor to extend tool and battery life. The tool will auto-matically stop during operation if the tool or battery isplaced under one of the following conditions.Overload protectionWhen the tool is operated in a manner that causes itto draw an abnormally high current, the tool automat-ically stops and the main power lamp will blink. In thissituation, turn the tool off and stop the application thatcaused the tool to become overloaded. Then turn thetool on to restart.Overheat protectionWhen the tool is overheated, the tool automaticallystops and the capacity indicator lamp will blink as illus-trated. In this situation, let the tool cool down beforeturning the tool on again.Capacity indicator status StatusOn Off BlinkingOverheated.Overdischarge protectionWhen the battery capacity becomes low, the tool stopsautomatically. If the product does not operate evenwhen the switches are operated, remove the batteriesfrom the tool and charge the batteries.
