17 ENGLISHIndicating the remaining batterycapacityNOTICE: The battery indicator does not lightwhen the power switch is in OFF position. Tocheck the remaining battery capacity, turn thepower switch to high or low pressure mode.Press the check button to indicate the remaining batterycapacities. Turn the power switchclockwise for high pressure mode (2), counterclockwisefor low pressure mode (1). To turn off the machine, turnthe power switch back to the OFF position (0).► Fig.5: 1. OFF position (0)NOTE: The battery indicators will light up for a fewseconds when turning the power switch to high or lowpressure mode.Nozzle functionsNOTE: The standard nozzles vary depending on thecountry. The nozzle may come off from the trig-ger gun and cause a personal injury.Dirt blasterCountry specific► Fig.7A spiral jet is ejected. Suitable for removing stubborn dirt.NOTICE: Do not use the dirt blaster to clean frag-ile surfaces such as windows or car bodies.Trigger operationsPull the trigger to eject a water jet. The jet continues aslong as the trigger is squeezed.The trigger can be locked for safe handling of the triggergun. To lock the trigger, pull out the stopper and hook itto the groove on the grip.► Fig.8: 1. Trigger 2. Stopper 3. GrooveNOTICE: To avoid mechanical error in the pres-sure switch, always leave a two-second intervalbetween trigger operations.Safety valveThis appliance is equipped with a safety valve thatprevents undue overpressure. When the trigger isreleased, the valve opens and the water recirculatesthrough the pump inlet.CAUTION: Do not tamper with or adjust thesafety valve setting.Supplying water from a tank/reservoirYou can supply water from a tank or reservoir insteadof a faucet.Replace the water hose connector with the suction hose set.When connecting the suction hose set, disconnect the filtercase from the hose and attach the filter case to the inlet of thehigh pressure washer. Then, connect the hose to the filter case.NOTE: When removing/connecting the hose from/tothe filter case, turn the sleeve while holding the hoseso that the hose does not rotate with the sleeve.► Fig.9: 1. SleeveCAUTION: When attaching the sleeve to thefilter case, be careful not to hurt your hand by thehose band.NOTICE: Always use Makita's suction hose set.NOTICE: Always keep 1 m (3.28 ft) or less inheight between the inlet of the high pressurewasher and the water surface. Otherwise, the highpressure washer will be unable to take the water upinto the pump.To introduce water into the hose, remove the nozzlefrom the trigger gun and switch on the high pressurewasher while the trigger is squeezed. Once water isejected stably from the trigger gun, release the triggerand attach the nozzle for your purpose.► Fig.10: 1. Trigger gun |
