7Installing or removing the bitClean the bit shank and apply bit grease before installingthe bit.12001296Insert the bit into the tool. Turn the bit and push it in untilit engages.1 2009126If the bit cannot be pushed in, remove the bit. Pull thechuck cover down a couple of times. Then insert the bitagain. Turn the bit and push it in until it engages. After installing, always make sure that the bit is securelyheld in place by trying to pull it out.To remove the bit, pull the chuck cover down all the wayand pull the bit out.1 2009127Bit angle(when chipping, scaling or demolishing)12009128The bit can be secured at the desired angle. To changethe bit angle, depress the lock button and rotate theaction mode changing knob to the O symbol. Turn the bitto the desired angle.Depress the lock button and rotate the action modechanging knob to the symbol. Then make sure that thebit is securely held in place by turning it slightly.009129Depth gauge1009130The depth gauge is convenient for drilling holes ofuniform depth. Loosen the side grip and insert the depthgauge into the hole in the side grip. Adjust the depthgauge to the desired depth and tighten the side grip.NOTE:• The depth gauge cannot be used at the positionwhere the depth gauge strikes against the gearhousing.Dust cup1001300Use the dust cup to prevent dust from falling over thetool and on yourself when performing overhead drillingoperations. Attach the dust cup to the bit as shown in thefigure. The size of bits which the dust cup can beattached to is as follows.1. Dust cup1. Depth gauge1. O symbol2. Action modechanging knob1. Bit2. Chuck cover1. Bit2. Chuck cover1. Bit shank2. Bit grease
