10 ENGLISH2. Turning on the appliancePress the power button to turn on the appliance. Pressthe power button again to turn off the appliance.3. Switching cooling / heating modePress the cool / heat switch button to switch theoperating mode.• When the appliance operates in cooling mode, thelamp of cooling mode lights up.• When the appliance operates in heating mode, thelamp of heating mode lights up.The temperature display flashes the control temperature.4. Selecting the control temperaturePress the temperature plus button or the temperaturereduction button to select the control temperature. Referthe chapter “SPECIFICATIONS” for the selectablecontrol temperature.The appliance starts cooling / heating 5 seconds afterwithout any operation, then the control temperature stopflashing and the temperature display shows the currenttemperature.The appliance stops cooling / heating when the currenttemperature reaches the control temperature.Tips for efficient cooling• Opening the upper cover for long periods cancause significant increase of the temperature inthe chamber.• Regularly clean surfaces that can come in contactwith food and accessible drainage systems.• Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers inthe chamber, so that it is not in contact with or driponto other food.• If the chamber is left empty for long periods:- Switch off the appliance.- Defrost the chamber.- Clean and dry the chamber.- Leave the upper cover open to prevent molddeveloping within the chamber.FUNCTIONIndicating the remaining batterycapacityThe battery indicator shows the remaining batterycapacity. The remaining battery capacity is shown asthe following table.Battery indicator status RemainingcapacityLighted Off50% to 100%20% to 50%0% to 20%(Blinking)Charge thebattery.(Only for battery cartridges withthe indicator)Press the check button on the battery cartridge toindicate the remaining battery capacity.
