76. Do not expose power tools to rain or wetconditions. Water entering a power tool will increasethe risk of electric shock.7. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord forcarrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool.Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges ormoving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increasethe risk of electric shock.8. When operating a power tool outdoors, use anextension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of acord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk ofelectric shock.9. If operating a power tool in a damp location isunavoidable, use a ground fault circuit interrupter(GFCI) protected supply. Use of an GFCI reducesthe risk of electric shock.Personal safety10. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and usecommon sense when operating a power tool. Donot use a power tool while you are tired or underthe influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Amoment of inattention while operating power toolsmay result in serious personal injury.11. Use personal protective equipment. Always weareye protection. Protective equipment such as dustmask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearingprotection used for appropriate conditions will reducepersonal injuries.12. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switchis in the off-position before connecting to powersource and/or battery pack, picking up or carryingthe tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on theswitch or energising power tools that have the switchon invites accidents.13. Remove any adjusting key or wrench beforeturning the power tool on. A wrench or a key leftattached to a rotating part of the power tool may resultin personal injury.14. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing andbalance at all times. This enables better control ofthe power tool in unexpected situations.15. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing orjewellery. Keep your hair, clothing, and glovesaway from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery orlong hair can be caught in moving parts.16. If devices are provided for the connection of dustextraction and collection facilities, ensure theseare connected and properly used. Use of dustcollection can reduce dust-related hazards.Power tool use and care17. Do not force the power tool. Use the correct powertool for your application. The correct power tool willdo the job better and safer at the rate for which it wasdesigned.18. Do not use the power tool if the switch does notturn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot becontrolled with the switch is dangerous and must berepaired.19. Disconnect the plug from the power source and/orthe battery pack from the power tool beforemaking any adjustments, changing accessories,or storing power tools. Such preventive safetymeasures reduce the risk of starting the power toolaccidentally.20. Store idle power tools out of the reach of childrenand do not allow persons unfamiliar with thepower tool or these instructions to operate thepower tool. Power tools are dangerous in the handsof untrained users.21. Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment orbinding of moving parts, breakage of parts andany other condition that may affect the powertool’s operation. If damaged, have the power toolrepaired before use. Many accidents are caused bypoorly maintained power tools.22. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properlymaintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges areless likely to bind and are easier to control.23. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc.in accordance with these instructions, taking intoaccount the working conditions and the work tobe performed. Use of the power tool for operationsdifferent from those intended could result in ahazardous situation.Battery tool use and care24. Recharge only with the charger specified by themanufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one typeof battery pack may create a risk of fire when usedwith another battery pack.25. Use power tools only with specifically designatedbattery packs. Use of any other battery packs maycreate a risk of injury and fire.26. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away fromother metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys,nails, screws or other small metal objects, that canmake a connection from one terminal to another.Shorting the battery terminals together may causeburns or a fire.27. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejectedfrom the battery; avoid contact. If contactaccidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquidcontacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation orburns.Service28. Have your power tool serviced by a qualifiedrepair person using only identical replacementparts. This will ensure that the safety of the power toolis maintained.29.
