If you use this toolunsafely or incorrectly, you can suffer seriouspersonal injury.1. Wear ear protectors. Exposure to noise cancause hearing loss.2. Use auxiliary handles supplied with the tool.Loss of control can cause personal injury.3. Hold power tools by insulated grippingsurfaces when performing an operation wherethe cutting tool may contact hidden wiring orits own cord. Contact with a "live" wire will makeexposed metal parts of the tool "live" and shockthe operator.4. Wear a hard hat (safety helmet), safety glassesand/or face shield. Ordinary eye or sunglasses are NOT safety glasses. It is alsohighly recommended that you wear a dustmask and thickly padded gloves.5. Be sure the bit is secured in place beforeoperation.6. Under normal operation, the tool is designedto produce vibration. The screws can comeloose easily, causing a breakdown or accident.Check tightness of screws carefully beforeoperation.7. In cold weather or when the tool has not beenused for a long time, let the tool warm up for awhile by operating it under no load. This willloosen up the lubrication. Without properwarm-up, hammering operation is difficult.8. Always be sure you have a firm footing.Be sure no one is below when using the tool inhigh locations.9. Hold the tool firmly with both hands.10. Keep hands away from moving parts.11. Do not leave the tool running. Operate the toolonly when hand-held.12. Do not point the tool at any one in the areawhen operating. The bit could fly out andinjure someone seriously.13. Do not touch the bit or parts close to the bitimmediately after operation; they may beextremely hot and could burn your skin.14. Some material contains chemicals which maybe toxic. Take caution to prevent dustinhalation and skin contact. Before using battery cartridge, read allinstructions and cautionary markings on (1)battery charger, (2) battery, and (3) productusing battery.2. Do not disassemble battery cartridge.3. If operating time has become excessivelyshorter, stop operating immediately. It mayresult in a risk of overheating, possible burnsand even an explosion.4. If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse themout with clear water and seek medicalattention right away. It may result in loss ofyour eyesight.5. Do not short the battery cartridge:(1) Do not touch the terminals with anyconductive material.(2) Avoid storing battery cartridge in acontainer with other metal objects such asnails, coins, etc.(3) Do not expose battery cartridge to wateror rain.A battery short can cause a large currentflow, overheating, possible burns andeven a breakdown.6. Do not store the tool and battery cartridge inlocations where the temperature may reach orexceed 50 C (122 F).7. Do not incinerate the battery cartridge even ifit is severely damaged or is completely wornout. The battery cartridge can explode in a fire.8. Be careful not to drop or strike battery.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.Tips for maintaining maximum battery life1. Charge the battery cartridge before completelydischarged.Always stop tool operation and charge thebattery cartridge when you notice less toolpower.2. Never recharge a fully charged batterycartridge.Overcharging shortens the battery service life.3. Charge the battery cartridge with roomtemperature at 10 C - 40 C (50 F - 104 F).Let a hot battery cartridge cool down beforecharging it. |
