4ENGLISHExplanation of general viewSPECIFICATIONS• Due to our continuing programme of research and development, the specifications herein are subject to change withoutnotice.• Specifications and battery cartridge may differ from country to country.• Weight, with battery cartridge, according to EPTA-Procedure 01/2003Intended use ENE066-1The tool is intended for cutting in mild steel and aluminumonly with appropriate saw blades.CORDLESS METAL CUTTERSAFETY WARNINGS GEB058-1DANGER:1. Keep hands away from cutting area and the blade.Keep your second hand on auxiliary handle, ormotor housing. If both hands are holding the tool, they cannot be cut by blade.2. Do not reach underneath the workpiece. The guardcannot protect you from the blade below theworkpiece.3. Adjust the cutting depth to the thickness of theworkpiece. Less than a full tooth of the blade teethshould be visible below the workpiece.4. Never hold piece being cut in your hands oracross your leg. Secure the workpiece to a stableplatform. It is important to support the work properlyto minimize body exposure, blade binding, or loss ofcontrol.5. Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaceswhen performing an operation where the cuttingtool may contact hidden wiring. Contact with a “live”wire will also make exposed metal parts of the powertool “live” and shock the operator.6. When ripping always use a rip fence or straightedge guide. This improves the accuracy of cut andreduces the chance for blade binding.7. Always use blades with correct size and shape(diamond versus round) of arbour holes. Bladesthat do not match the mounting hardware of the toolwill run eccentrically, causing loss of control.8. Never use damaged or incorrect blade washers orbolts. The blade washers and bolt were speciallydesigned for your tool, for optimum performance andsafety of operation.9. Causes and operator prevention of kickback;- Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched, boundor misaligned blade, causing an uncontrolled tool tolift up and out of the workpiece toward the operator.- When the blade is pinched or bound tightly by thekerf closing down, the blade stalls and the motorreaction drives the unit rapidly back toward theoperator.- If the blade becomes twisted or misaligned in thecut, the teeth at the back edge of the blade can diginto the top surface of the workpiece causing theblade to climb out of the kerf and jump back towardthe operator.Kickback is the result of tool misuse and/or incorrectoperating procedures or conditions and can beavoided by taking proper precautions as given below.• Maintain a firm grip with both hands on the tooland position your arms to resist kickbackforces. Position your body to either side of theblade, but not in line with the blade. Kickbackcould cause the tool to jump backwards, butkickback forces can be controlled by the operator, ifproper precautions are taken.• When blade is binding, or when interrupting acut for any reason, release the trigger and holdthe tool motionless in the material until theblade comes to a complete stop. Never attemptto remove the tool from the work or pull the tool1. Red part2. Button3. Battery cartridge4. Lever5. A position6. Cutting line7. Base8. Switch trigger9. Lock-off lever10. Lamp11.
