30108203. Always wear a helmet where there is a risk offalling objects. The protective helmet is to bechecked at regular intervals for damage and is tobe replaced at the latest after 5 years. Use onlyapproved protective helmets.4. The visor of the helmet (or alternatively goggles)protects the face from flying debris and stones.During operation of the equipment always weargoggles, or a visor to prevent eye injuries.5. Wear adequate noise protection equipment toavoid hearing impairment (ear muffs , ear plugsetc.).0108216. The work overalls protect against flying stonesand debris. It is strongly recommended that theuser wears work overalls.7. Special gloves made of thick leather are part ofthe prescribed equipment and must always beworn during operation of the equipment.8. When using the equipment, always wear sturdyshoes with a nonslip sole. This protects againstinjuries and ensures a good footing.Electrical and battery safety1. Avoid dangerous environment. Don't use theequipment in damp or wet locations or expose it torain. Water entering an equipment will increasethe risk of electric shock.2. Recharge only with the charger specified by themanufacturer. A charger that is suitable for onetype of battery pack may create a risk of fire whenused with another battery pack.3. Use power tools only with specifically designatedbattery packs. Use of any other battery packs maycreate a risk of injury and fire.4. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away fromother metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys,nails, screws or other small metal objects, thatcan make a connection from one terminal toanother. Shorting the battery terminals togethermay cause burns or a fire.5. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejectedfrom the battery; avoid contact. If contactaccidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquidcontacts eyes, additionally seek medical help.Liquid ejected from the battery may causeirritation or burns.6. Do not dispose of the battery(ies) in a fire. The cellmay explode. Check with local codes for possiblespecial disposal instructions.7. Do not open or mutilate the battery(ies). Releasedelectrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage tothe eyes or skin. Make sure that there are no children or otherpeople within a working range of 15 meters (50 ft),also pay attention to any animals in the workingvicinity. Otherwise stop using the equipment.2. Before use always check that the equipment issafe for operation. Check the security of thecutting tool and the guard and the switchtrigger/lever for easy and proper action. Check forclean and dry handles and test the function of thestart/stop.3. Check damaged parts before further use of theequipment. A guard or other part that is damagedshould be carefully checked to determine that itwill operate properly and perform its intendedfunction. Check for alignment of moving parts,binding of moving parts, breakage of parts,mounting, and any other condition that may affectits operation. A guard or other part that isdamaged should be properly repaired or replacedby our authorized service center unless indicatedelsewhere in this manual.4. Switch on the motor only when the hands and feetare away from the cutting tool.5. Before starting make sure that the cutting tool hasno contact with hard objects such as branches,stones etc. as the cutting tool will revolve whenstarting.
