Failure to switchoff and remove the battery cartridge may result inserious personal injury from accidental start-up.Installing or removing battery cartridgeCAUTION:• Hold the tool and the battery cartridge firmly wheninstalling or removing battery cartridge. Failure tohold the tool and the battery cartridge firmly may causethem to slip off your hands and result in damage to thetool and battery cartridge and a personal injury.• Always switch off the tool before insertion or removal ofthe battery cartridge. (Fig. 4)To remove the battery cartridge, withdraw it from the toolwhile sliding the button on the front of the cartridge.To insert the battery cartridge, align the tongue on thebattery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slip itinto place. Always insert it all the way until it locks in placewith a little click. If you can see the red indicator on theupper side of the button, it is not locked completely. Insertit fully until the red indicator cannot be seen. If not, it mayaccidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury to you orsomeone around you.NOTE:• Do not use force when inserting the battery cartridge. Ifthe cartridge does not slide in easily, it is not beinginserted correctly.Power switch actionWARNING:• Before inserting the battery cartridge in the tool,always check to see that the switch triggeractuates properly and returns to the “OFF”position when released.
