Always wear safety glasses to avoid eye injuryfrom dust or fasteners. The safety glassesshould conform with the requirements of ANSIZ87.1.WARNING:It is an employer's responsibilityto enforce the use of safety eye protectionequipment by the tool operators and by otherpersons in the immediate working area.2. Wear hearing protection to protect your earsagainst exhaust noise and head protection.Also wear light but not loose clothing. Sleevesshould be buttoned or rolled up. No necktieshould be worn.Flammable Atmospheres1. Do not operate tool in explosive atmospheres,such as in the presence of flammable liquids,gases or combustible dust.Tool modification1. The tool should not be modified unless autho-rized in the tool manual or approved in writingby the tool manufacturer.Tool maintenance1. Refer to the tool maintenance instructions fordetailed information on the proper mainte-nance of a tool.Recommended fasteners and accessories1. Use only fasteners made or recommended bythe tool manufacturer, or fasteners that per-form equivalently to those recommended bythe manufacturer.2. Use only accessories made or recommendedby the tool manufacturer, or accessories thatperform equivalently to those recommendedby the manufacturer.Inspect tool before operating to:1. Use only power source specified in the instruc-tion manual.Operate the tool within the specified air pres-sure on the tool label for safety and longer toollife. Do not exceed the recommended max.operating pressure. The tool should not beconnected to a source whose pressure poten-tially exceeds 1.38 MPa (200 PSIG).2. Never use the tool with other than compressedair. If bottled gas (carbon dioxide, oxygen,nitrogen, hydrogen, air, etc.) or combustiblegas (hydrogen, propane, acetylene, etc.) isused as a power source for this tool, the toolwill explode and cause serious injury.3. Always check the tool for its overall conditionand loose screws before operation. Tighten asrequired.4. Make sure all safety systems are in workingorder before operation. The tool must notoperate if only the trigger is pulled or if onlythe contact element is pressed against thewood. It must work only when both actions areperformed. Test for possible faulty operationwith fasteners unloaded and the contact ele-ment in fully pulled position.5. Always check contact element as instructed inthis manual. Fasteners may be driven acciden-tally if the safety mechanism is not workingcorrectly.Operating controls1. Do not use a tool with missing or damagedsafety warning label(s.) |
