10Installing or removing dust cover attachment(Optional accessory)WARNING:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off andunplugged before installing or removing the dustcover attachment. Failure to do so causes damageto the tool or a personal injury.There are three types of dust cover attachment andeach is used in one of different positions.Fig.12Fig.13Fig.14Place the dust cover attachment so that the side of thedust cover attachment with the marking (A,B or C) facestowards the tool head. Snap the pins of the dust coverattachment in the vent.Fig.15Dust cover attachment can be removed by hand.NOTE:• Clean out the dust cover attachment when it isclogged with dust or foreign matters. Continuingoperation with a clogged dust cover attachmentwill damage the tool.OPERATIONWARNING:• It should never be necessary to force the tool. Theweight of the tool applies adequate pressure.Forcing and excessive pressure could causedangerous wheel breakage.• ALWAYS replace wheel if tool is dropped whilegrinding.• NEVER bang or hit grinding disc or wheel ontowork.• Avoid bouncing and snagging the wheel,especially when working corners, sharp edges etc.This can cause loss of control and kickback.• NEVER use tool with wood cutting blades andother sawblades. Such blades when used on agrinder frequently kick and cause loss of controlleading to personal injury.CAUTION:• After operation, always switch off the tool and waituntil the wheel has come to a complete stopbefore putting the tool down.Grinding and sanding operationALWAYS hold the tool firmly with one hand on housingand the other on the side handle. Turn the tool on andthen apply the wheel or disc to the workpiece.In general, keep the edge of the wheel or disc at anangle of about 15 degrees to the workpiece surface.During the break-in period with a new wheel, do notwork the grinder in the B direction or it will cut into theworkpiece. Once the edge of the wheel has beenrounded off by use, the wheel may be worked in both Aand B direction.Fig.16Operation with wire cup brush / wire bevelbrush (optional accessory)CAUTION:• Check operation of brush by running tool with noload, insuring that no one is in front of or in linewith brush.• Do not use brush that is damaged, or which is outof balance. Use of damaged brush could increasepotential for injury from contact with broken brushwires.Fig.17Unplug tool and place it upside down allowing easyaccess to spindle. Remove any accessories on spindle.Thread wire cup brush / wire bevel brush onto spindleand tighten with supplied wrench. When using brush,avoid applying too much pressure which causes overbending of wires, leading to premature breakage.
