Troubleshooting23Troubleshooting ---------------------------------------------------------------Display problemsWhen I turn on thecomputer, nothing appearson the screen.• If the screen is blank, make sure that:‐ The AC power adapter is connected to thecomputer, and the power cord is plugged into aworking electrical outlet.‐ The computer power is on. Press the Power keyagain for confirmation.• If these items are set correctly, and the screen remainsblank, have the computer serviced.When I turn on thecomputer, only a whitecursor appears on a blankscreen.• Restore backed‐up files to your Windowsenvironment or the entire contents of your hard diskto its original factory contents using Push‐buttonreset. If you still see only the cursor on the screen,have the computer serviced.The screen goes blankwhile the computer is on.• Your power management is enabled. Perform thefollowing to resume from sleep mode:‐ Press any key on the keyboard.Sleep problemsThe critical low-batteryerror message appears,and the computerimmediately turns off.• The battery power is getting low. Connect the ACpower adapter to the computer.The computer enters sleepmode immediately afterPower-on.• Make sure that:‐ The battery is charged.‐ The operating temperature is within the acceptablerange. See “Chapter 2. Use and care Information” inthe Lenovo Safety and General Information Guide.Note: If the battery is charged and the temperature is within range, have the computerserviced.
